Who is
Zach Koops?

I grew up in Frederick County, MD, and moved to Harrisonburg in 2002 to attend James Madison University. 

Upon graduation, I knew I would be living here in the Valley for the rest of my life. After a 7 year stint in a sales position at a local trade show display company, I entered the world of real estate and built my career.

Beginning with Kline May Realty and The Harrisonburg Homes Team in 2014, I began helping friends, colleagues, and new clients reach their real estate goals.

During that time I also bought, renovated, and flipped homes on my own, giving me a first-hand look at what it takes to fine-tune a property to sell for top dollar. 

In 2023 I reached a new level in my career and opened my own firm, where I can serve my clientele the way they need to be served – selling services completely customized to their specific situation. 

As you get to know me, you’ll see that my personal life is often intertwined with my career. My family is everything to me, and I’m blessed to be able to share my life with my bride, Kelly, and our three boys, Carter, Bailey, and Cole.

Open HouseYour home will be held open from 1-3pm on the first Sunday of the listing period to host buyers and agents alike. To maximize attendance, it will be advertised in the local paper and everywhere your listing is visible online. Attendees sign in and provide contact info for easy follow-up and feedback.

Pricing EvaluationIt all starts here. Before we even sign a listing agreement, I’ll provide an in-depth analysis of what your home is worth and how to price it effectively to maximize your proceeds in the current market.

Home Staging ConsultationFirst impressions are everything. A professional home stager will walk through every room in your house and give you step-by-step instructions on how to prep your home to perfection and attract as many buyers as possible.

House CleaningOur professional cleaners will do a thorough cleaning of your home – specifically designed to make it look its absolute best for the market. (You have enough to do anyway!)

Home InspectionWhy wait for the buyer to find everything “wrong” with your house and renegotiate the deal? With our pre-listing home inspection, the same professional inspection service a buyer uses will inspect your home before we list, so you can make any repairs necessary and present your home to the market in excellent condition and avoid costly buyer repair requests later.

PRE-CLOSING

Termite InspectionStandard Virginia real estate contracts require the Seller to provide a clean inspection of wood destroying insects. We will schedule this inspection and provide property access at the appropriate time and take care of all costs – and our professional inspectors are the best in the area.

Well Water E-Coli TestIf you’re water source is a well, the standard Virginia real estate contract will require fresh test results showing no traces of E-coli in your water. We’ll handle the scheduling, testing, and costs of the test for you so you can stay focused on your move.

Deed PreparationVirginia real estate contracts require the Seller to provide a new deed for the buyer. Our attorney will handle this for you upon our request and we’ll cover the fees. One less item for you to manage!

Move-out House CleaningWho wants to spend time cleaning during a move? You focus on packing, loading, and moving, and we’ll get your house spic and span for your new Buyer at no additional cost.

Note: All commissions are negotiable. 2.5% for Buyer Agent is included with all tiers, but not required.
